About iDatanet

Business-critical connectivity,
backed by local expertise.

We help businesses connect assets over cellular, Wi-Fi and LoRa — across industrial, commercial and infrastructure environments.

Who we are

Built for complex connectivity challenges

iDatanet was established in 2016 to address a gap in the Australian market for specialised IoT products and expertise, bringing together industrial-grade technology, practical system knowledge and local support.

Our goal is straightforward: cost-effective, scalable systems that keep communications reliable where conventional connectivity is unavailable, unsuitable or difficult to manage.

Rather than supplying isolated components, we consider how each product fits within the wider communications system — which helps customers select equipment appropriate for the application, the operating environment and the long-term management requirement.

What we do

Where we can help

Most projects touch two or three of these at once.

Industrial connectivity

Routers, gateways, modems, and secure remote access to equipment and infrastructure.

Wireless networks

Long-range indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi, RF, and antenna systems.

IoT and data collection

Sensors, data logging, and communication between field devices and central platforms.

Device management

Remote monitoring, configuration and management of devices in the field.

Deployment and support

Site assessment, network planning, deployment support, and post-installation technical assistance.

How we work

From the site to the bill of materials

We work back from the environment to the equipment, not the other way round. Most of the value is in the first two steps.

01

Understand

We start by understanding your application, environment, existing infrastructure and operational requirements.

02

Assess and plan

We evaluate coverage needs, networks, connected devices, data volumes, installation conditions and future scalability.

03

Design and recommend

We recommend the right combination of technologies and configure a system that meets your needs.

04

Deploy and integrate

We support deployment and integration to ensure systems are installed correctly and perform as expected.

05

Support and evolve

We provide ongoing technical support and help your systems adapt as your requirements evolve.

We work across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.

Metro, regional and genuinely remote — and we are most useful on the hard ones, where distance, weather, power or access turn connectivity into a real problem to solve.
